The Dowry Money Patterns ( Part One )

These are my artworks, dedicated to Weekly Photo Challenge: Pattern

     The Patterns are unique, these are some parts of it. In Java, INDONESIA we have a traditional weeding ceremony which until now still exist. We called here ‘ Uang Mahar ‘ or the dowry money in western. Amount of the money usually identically with date of the wedding day.

It was dedicated to Adi and Evy. This design consists of IDR 79.000,- (44 blanknotes), regular money IDR 200,-(50 coins) and the ancients coins are IDR 10,-(1 coin) and IDR 1,-(2 coins) thus forming date of the wedding day, September 8, 2012 ( IDR 89.012,-).

We use three ancient coins, IDR 10,- (1979) and two IDR 1,-(1970), three coins here are designed as  the year of 2012.

The Uang Mahar ( part two )

It was dedicated to Arif and Kiky. This design consists of IDR 64.000,- (32 blanknotes), regular money IDR 500,-(2 coins), IDR 200,-(180 coins), IDR 100,-(1 coin) and the ancients coins are IDR 10,- and IDR 1,- (2 coins) thus forming date of the wedding day, November 10, 2012 ( IDR 101.112,-).

The Uang Mahar ( part three )

It was dedicated to Basuki and Dinnul. This design consists of IDR 71.000,- (31 blanknotes), regular money IDR 1.000,-(199 coins), IDR 500,-(1 coin) and the ancients coins are IDR 10,- and IDR 2,- thus forming date of the wedding day, May 27, 2012 ( IDR 270.512,-).

The Uang Mahar ( part four )

It was dedicated to Tommy and Diana. This design consists of IDR 236.000,- (29 blanknotes), regular money IDR 200,-(21 coins), IDR 1.000,-(41 coins) and the ancients coins are IDR 10,- and IDR 2,- thus forming date of the wedding day, December 28, 2012 ( IDR 281.212,-).

     It was dedicated to Rendy and Novi. This design consists of IDR 190.000,- (100 blanknotes), regular coins IDR 200,- and IDR 100,- and the ancients coins are IDR 10,- and IDR 1,- (3 coins) thus forming date of the wedding day, March 19, 2013 ( IDR 190.313,-)
